A Little Bit About Me I am a Florida native who has always had a strong passion and interest in the natural world and a simpler way of living. My passions led me to pursuing a B.S in Environmental Studies and it was my love for wildlife that got me into gardening. It made me realize that plants, especially native plants, are the key to sustainable ecosystems and that everything is connected and has a purpose. Fast forward to today, I’m intrigued with all things plants and homesteading, consistently soaking up every bit knowledge through research, trial and error. With the help of my husband, I have been slowly transforming our new home into a functioning urban homestead that benefits both people and wildlife. I enjoy making most of my family’s food from scratch and utilizing the healing power of plants and nature. I strive to create a more simple and sustainable lifestyle by growing our own food and cut flowers all while creating a healthy ecosystem full of biodiversity that provides a sanctuary for our local wildlife. When I’m not gardening, you can usually find me in the kitchen, cooking made from scratch meals for my family, spending time with my husband and two daughters or somewhere out in nature stalking bees with a camera lens!
